Job Description

Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for an Application Architect for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with member of team to create an SDN architecture for 5G SA and for e2e network slices
  • Work with member of team to create a Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul architecture for 5G SA and for e2e network slices
  • Work with member of team to create an Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) architecture
  • Develop a DNS architecture that supports Content Delivery Networks for 4G and for 5G when the UPFs will possibly move to the edge (MEC)
  • Evaluate the pro and cons of replacing Cell Site Routers with VLAN Switches at cell sites for cost savings purposes
  • Develop HLDs for all of the above WAN/Backhaul/Fronthaul/Midhaul architectures
  • Responsible for designing computer network architectures, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), backhaul/midhaul/fronthaul, DNS, the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems. Creates, tests, and evaluates network architectures.
  • Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
  • Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Develop technology roadmaps.
  • Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
  • Manage technology vendors.
  • Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors.
  • Assess vendor development/test strategies.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Solve complex problems with many variables.
