Job Description

Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for an Audio-Visual and Telecommunications Technician for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 


Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provides routine logistical and technical support and professional assistance in the planning and execution of meetings, events and conferences in the Chicago Conference Center.
  • Provides basic equipment support, maintenance and management of technical conferencing equipment as well as infrastructure configuration.
  • Coordinates and assists Bank staff and visitors with basic meeting arrangements.
  • The level of work required is considered intermediate and incumbents must be able to work under general supervision.
  • Analyzes and interprets basic customer audio visual needs for meeting requests; provides routine consultative services to Conference Center customers; acts as a resource to troubleshoot Conference Center audio visual issues
  • Provides routine customer and departmental support and training to Bank personnel for the Chicago Conference Center audio video equipment
  • Supplies outstanding customer service by establishing and maintaining working relationships with clients, facility representatives, Bank staff and vendors
  • Provides basic in-room technical support to event clients including equipment set up, real-time support, and tear down
  • Provides basic audio-visual support to monthly Board of Directors meetings
  • Maintains and develops knowledge of existing and new technologies for event productions
  • Schedules meeting rooms, designates conference room and audio-visual equipment for events; sets up in-room lighting requirements; coordinates external participants for facility entry
  • Assists with off-site meetings and special events 

 
Qualifications:
  • Associate`s Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field as noted below
  • 2 plus years of direct work-related experience in audio video systems and customer service field
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of Audio-Visual and computer equipment and their applications for meeting services required
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Outstanding customer focus and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, audio visual systems software
  • Knowledge in LAN, WAN and wireless networks
  • Must be solution-focused, personable, forward-thinking and extremely organized
  • Must be capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to work flexible work schedule including occasional evening events and some weekends
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
