Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Business Consultant for one of our clients in the Oak Brook area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Job Description:
 
This role requires being a liaison between multiple organizations and lead manufacturing and product transition of over 50 products from one organization to another by a set timeline.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead commercialization effort on a consumer-packaged goods transition initiative
  • Drive and create a shared vision or roadmap of clients’ final vision
  • Ability to lead effective team engagement between multiple organizations, which may include establishing and managing team meetings, creating and managing project timelines, product forecasting, inventory management and creating mitigation/contingency plans as needed.
  • Ability to work across cross functional teams - R&D, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations etc.
  • Lead technical and supply chain readiness to support commercialization activity. The individual will help coordinate between multiple organizations to ensure that the supply chain and manufacturing facilities are ready for successful start-up.
  • Provide updates to leadership, project sponsors and stakeholders as needed on key initiatives, including progress against deliverables, cost management (when applicable), next steps and needs from sponsors to alleviate hurdles. Escalate concerns and issues, report project fact base, define options/trade-offs, and provide team recommendation.
  • Support Business and Manufacturing Systems initiatives as required, and support the continuous improvement of the commercialization process through collaboration with key stakeholders and best practice sharing.

 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations Management or Supply/ Logistics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Product Commercialization at a Consumer Packaged Good company
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Brand Management, Integrated Supply Chain or Research & Development (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
  • Ability to lead large teams, own deliverables and achieve project timelines
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to use time management tools
