We are currently looking for a full-time customer care specialist to join our dedicated team in Bellevue, Washington. As a claims specialist / pack lead, you’ll be part of a passionate team of pet-lovers working to protect more dogs and cats with healthy paws pet insurance. This position requires experience working as a claims specialist for a minimum of one year or more or, like experience encompassing the requirements below.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • handle inbound and outbound calls including enrollments, claims and general questions
  • respond to customer email inquiries and requests
  • troubleshoot any customer account issues
  • provide excellent customer service while delivering the wow!
  • assist in special projects or other duties as assigned
  • process claims $0.01-$15,000.00 daily
  • sme (subject matter expert)/go-to-player
  • maintain healthy paws culture (see cultural statement)
  • weekly colleague check ins/progress reports
  • monitor daily business reports
  • communications management
  • supporting & rewarding colleagues
  • triaging colleague caseload for assistance
  • customer liaison management (escalated cases)
  • business trends; reports to operations management
  • knowledgeable about all projects on the process enhancement team, able to effectively communicate goals and action plans
  • manage personal and team deadlines for projects of various sizes
  • possess ability to replace operations manager in project meeting updates upon request
  • interview and hire pet agents

  • 1-3 years’ experience in like field
  • veterinary experience preferred
  • high school diploma
  • producers and/or adjustors license
  • passion and love for animals
  • fun, easy going personality with the ability to easily and clearly converse with our customers
  • excellent computer skills and proficiency including a strong understanding of the internet and ability to complete online research
  • good comprehension and composition skills
  • proven ability to work as a team player in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team
  • positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm to work in a high energy, start-up environment
  • strong multitasking skills and the initiative to get tasks completed
  • Call center experience
  • Customer service
