Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for an Estimating Assistant for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Job Description:
 
This position is responsible for supporting the Health Analytics Intake & Demand Estimation Process. The Estimating Assistant will work closely with the, Data Delivery Leads (DDLs), Data Product Managers (DPMs), and Enterprise Data Architects (EDAs) to ensure that the entire portfolio’s Intake and Demand activity goes through the 2-week estimation cadence. The Estimating Assistant will check the intake estimation tool on Mondays to create the weekly agenda for the HA Estimation Meeting. This person will assist the Strategic Planning and Demand Analyst to collect estimates, get estimate updates, and to create and submit the final HA estimate package to the Business.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review the HA Estimate Demand for new intake requests and Change Requests.
  • Create the HA Estimation Weekly Meeting Agenda which includes Track 1 (New Estimate Requests) and Track 2 (Final Estimates from the previous week).
  • Follow up with portfolio DDLs to make sure all new estimate requests are complete and ready to be added to the agenda for the Thursday’s weekly estimation meeting.
  • Use WebEx/Outlook to start scheduling meeting invitees for the Thursday’s weekly review. Meeting invites need to be scheduled timely (not later than Tuesday by 2:00pm) and check that all required attendees are available on Thursday.
  • Occasionally will need to schedule ad-hoc estimate review meetings outside of the Thursday’s regular meeting due to high estimate volume and/or urgent requests.
  • Collect estimates from the previous week and send final estimates to the DDLs. This task has the following predecessors
  • Follow up with DPMs via email or in person to get pending estimates. If no response, use appropriate escalation procedures.
  • Create the final estimate package and send it timely to each DDL after the Thursday’s estimation review meeting and no later than by EOD.
  • Update the HA Estimation Intake Form status for all complete estimates. 
  • Join the HA Estimation Weekly Thursday’s meeting and actively support the Estimates Coordinator Lead to take notes, track attendance, locate/find required attendees, and update documentation.
  • Collaborate with other admin tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Project coordination or project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Intermediate SharePoint experience is required for this position, including navigating
  • through document libraries, active lists, and online repositories.
  • The candidate should be able to create new folders, archive documentation, create links to folders and files and learn to manage several tools and forms
  • Proven proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Proficiency in InfoPath is desirable but it is not a required skill.
  • Experience working with all levels in the organization, leading projects and problem resolution.
  • Experience facilitating large group of meetings is an important function in this role.
  • Analytical and organizational skills including experience in meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and logical thinking is required to collect and assemble final estimates.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, ability to work independently and collaborate with others without conflict is highly desirable.
