Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for an Installation Technician for one of our clients in the Long Island area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.

Would prefer someone local in NY but we are willing to look at candidates as far as NJ. 

  • Clean criminal and driving record. 
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Understanding of AC & DC fundamentals/hands on installations.
  • Understanding of Cat5/Cat6 wiring standards/fabrication. 
  • 25 pair cable fabrication/wiring schemes (Not Mandatory).
  • Understanding equipment grounding standards/terminations on various applications. 
  • Has experience with RF cabling/connector terminations with Waveguide, LDF4, FSJ4, FSJ1, LMR400 and RG142 cable types at a minimum. 
  • Has experience and knowledge of the complexities of working in live equipment and data centers, pulling cable and installations of various cable types. 
  • Understanding the sensitivity of these type of environments and working carefully. 
  • Hands on experience with crimp tools, drills & general hand tools to perform various installation needs. 
  • EVT certification a plus. 
  • May be required to work in environments where the temperatures may be extreme. 
  • May be required to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, ETC. in excess of 8 hours a day. 
  • May be required to use protective clothing at some locations. 
  • May be required to work nights and weekends. 
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Use hand and power tools.
