Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician/ Network Analyst for one of our clients in the Hayward area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Job Description:
 
This position will provide system support, under minimal supervision, in one or more of the following technical areas: desktop, telecom, networks, servers, messaging, LAN, security, and Manufacturing
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own assigned tasks, resolve general problems. Requires minimal direction, gives some guidance to others, some project work, and good knowledge of operating environments.
  • MDF/IDF Management 
  • Virtualization support (Backup)
  • Databases / SQL 
  • Proactively monitor call queues and prioritize daily activities.
  • Provide general Desktop support on hardware and software problems
  • Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components.
  • Provide support for technical area of expertise.
  • Participate on project teams as technical IT resource as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to Hayward team members.
  • Identify technical support trends, determine root cause and potential solutions.
  • Participate with break/fix vendor management
  • Document system/environment changes

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and apply good problem-solving techniques. 
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on platforms supported.
  • Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Completed Associate degree in computer related field and 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Technical certifications preferred (provide evidence of certifications)
