Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Senior Project Leader for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
Our client is taking our business beyond the walls of restaurants - revolutionizing how we interface with our customers.  We are providing customers with enticing mobile, web, and kiosk solutions on the scale of industry leading retailers like Amazon and eBay.  The Project Services team within the Global Technology Enterprise Services Organization is looking for a highly skilled Sr. Project Manager with infrastructure experience to help drive a highly visible project related to voice and network technologies.  The role will be responsible for coordinating and reporting out on complex and geographically disperse teams. The Sr. Project Manager is an important role in the Global Technology Enterprise Services Organization helping to drive projects thru the entire lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).  The role handles large scale projects that requires stakeholder management at the C-suite and supplier level.  The Sr. Project Manager leads cross functional project teams ensuring team members have clarity on individual responsibilities.  They must develop schedules, proactively manage risks and resolve issues to drive successful completion of projects (i.e. - on time, within budget and with quality).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage complex projects within the Global Technology Enterprise Services organization with an understanding of business strategies. 
  • Responsible for ensuring solutions are in alignment with the long-term Business & Architecture roadmaps.
  • Ability to provide the overall vision and structure in addition to managing the daily project activities such as schedule, risk and issue management, communications, etc.
  • Must have executive leadership presence, the ability to understand objectives and drive the team to program completion
  • Drives necessary requirements gathering activities to define the scope of the program and build out necessary artifacts such as a project charter, user stories or business requirements document
  • Partner with the appropriate cross functional teams to develop and complete any RFIs, RFPs, and SOWs.   
  • Leads, Manages or generates necessary communications for projects and deployment activities
  • Works with key stakeholders (e.g. business, IT management, external vendors) to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Actively manages scope and measures performance to ensure the project is progressing as planned in relation to scope, budget and quality.
  • Develops and executes a plan that includes a schedule, budget, timeline, and required resources. Upon project completion, gather lessons learned and obtain project closeout approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage risks and resolve issues.
  • Ensures a smooth transition to Operational / Run support post application deployment.
  • Ensures the program is managed to the standards set by the Global Technology PMO

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
  • 8+ years of proven experience in Project Management including planning, organizing, monitoring and leading global, complex programs
  • Experience in infrastructure domains
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise way, ensuring the organization is able to make rapid and informed decisions.
  • Talented meeting facilitator who skillfully leads strategy creation and planning discussions.
  • Self-driven leader who actively works to remove barriers
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and provide necessary structure for projects
  • Experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to create presentations and write business cases for senior leadership.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple key business priorities.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work in a matrix organizational environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Skype and SharePoint.
  • Strong Project Management competencies and understanding of how to apply pragmatically for best outcome
  • Strong deployment background with an understanding of how to best plan and execute technology based projects
  • Strong operational and financial acumen (driving best value through projects).
  • Strong understanding of business analysis, change management and performance improvement concepts.
  • The successful candidate will be self-confident, results-oriented, and influential. Ability to present and communicate successfully at leadership meetings which require excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools as MS Project, PlanView, Clarizen, etc.
