Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Software Architect for one of our clients in the Riverwoods area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and enforce architectural and design standards for enterprise-wide software.
  • Guide developers using proper OO design and programming methodologies.
  • Prepare functional specifications and detailed design documents directly from use cases and other business requirements documentation.
  • Prepare and validate engineer’s unit test cases before they are promoted to QA.
  • Propose new solutions to management in continually attempting to streamline the software development lifecycle utilizing new tools, technologies, etc.
  • Provide the necessary oversight as the organization inherits existing applications and converts them into new software initiatives.
  • Provides leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff.
  • Builds a strong team.
  • Develops others to their full potential.
  • Empowers and motivates others.
  • Recognizes when there are obstacles preventing others from achieving their goals and resolves critical issues and contributes to business unit/area development.
  • Very wide latitude for decision making.
  • Gathers information, consults those who need to be involved, and puts decisions into action.
  • Coaches employees in decision-making by thinking through scenarios and decision criteria before taking appropriate action
  • Receives guidance from directors on departmental issues.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

 
Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and professional speaking skills.
  • Excellent influencing skills/ability
