Job Description

Position: QA API Test Engineer

Location: New Albany, OH 43054
Duration: 10 months - could be a contract to hire down the road
I am looking for API Test Engineers to support the Java Developers on a “Digital Exchange project” that enables mobile product and e-tokenization. You will be utilizing products for integration testing, helping developers to fix code, execute test cases, troubleshoot issues throughout the integration process.

Skills needed are Postman, SOAP API, Json API’s, JSON Web Encription, be in the Sandbox
You will not be writing application on a fulltime basis, will consider someone with 3-5 years of experience.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate Client requirements against the scope of the project, identifying and addressing any product gaps for the implementation
  • Support the various testing phases, which include API integration, End to End testing, and User Acceptance
  • Directly support the Client’s developers with the integration to the API specification. Support and answer questions regarding specifications and how to develop code per the specification
  • Provide technical support to our Clients during all testing phases
  • Triage and troubleshoot client API issues
  • Assist with encrypting and decrypting API content
  • Perform direct gateway testing via submission of API requests via an IDE or SoapUI
  • Assist with monitoring data management or utilities in the simulation environment
  • Validate Production moves, including certifications and keys for credential security
  • Review new API Specification, test, and internalize for Client Support
  • Execute on regression testing with the Client
  • Address and resolve testing defects both internally and with Client, working closely with internal support teams.
  • Responsible for managing Client expectations, ensuring satisfaction through responsiveness and effective communication.
  • Responsible for detecting potential issues, supporting the Clients and implementing solutions when issues threaten to delay the project timeline, business operations, or the overall relationship.
  • Responsible for documenting process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation and training guides, and all other required internal/external materials for ongoing business needs.
  • This includes creating, utilizing, and enhancing documents/deliverables necessary for providing exceptional support services.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Payments industry (preferred) working in a developer integrations/technical analyst role.
  • Prior Client implementation experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations that are both internal and Client facing
  • Experience in working with and integrating APIs (JSON) with external Clients required
  • Prior development experience required, preferably in Java.
  • Prior experience with SOAP UI required
  • Experience in defect tracking tools (i.e. Quality Center) required
  • Prior functional testing experience required
  • Knowledge of “developer portals/sandbox environments” required
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, and Visio) experience required
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and consultative skills
