Business Analyst IT
Duration: 8-month contract
Location: Lisle, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Business Analyst IT for one of our clients in the Lisle area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Working closely with Data Analysts and Business and IT Subject Matter Experts, analyze and document requirements and use cases for application changes to correct data issues
  • Evaluate and understand dependencies between applications to understand how changes in one application impact other applications
  • Author Business and Functional Requirements documents, and other documentation as needed to support project governance
  • Prepare test cases and complex data scenarios to thoroughly test system changes
  • As new data is created, assist with optimizing quality and usage on eCommerce sites and in legacy applications
  • Define metrics and reports to measure and improve data quality
  • Become a parts systems Subject Matter Expert
  • Assist with designing business processes to structure and maintain data sources and processes

  • BS in Computer Science, or 5 years applicable experience with a BS in another technical field
  • Years of Experience: At least 5 years
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: Word, Visio, (Advanced) Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Basic SQL query skills (Open SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to handle complexity
  • Proven ability to succeed in a cross-functional environment working with business users, project team members and IT development personnel
  • Strong understanding of system processes and methodologies to insure data quality across multiple environments and applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to all levels of business and technical audiences
  • Familiar with SDLC lifecycle and creating SDLC documentation
  • Curious, goal oriented and highly self-motivated with a passion for driving transformative change and strong customer service orientation; enjoys people and creates raving fans
  • Work experience in manufacturing industry or parts distribution a plus
  • Experience with eCommerce applications and content requirements preferred
  • Located within commuting distance of Lisle, IL
