Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Charlotte, NC
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Business Analyst for one of our clients in the Charlotte area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • This position will be responsible for applying knowledge, analysis, and facilitative expertise to gather and define requirements, to achieve business objectives, and provide innovative solutions to business problems related to the development of complex Artificial Intelligence / Virtual Assistant projects
  • Support analysis and design efforts for complex projects and business processes
  • Establish common understanding of the business environment in which a project or solution must be defined, designed, created, deployed, used, and supported

 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise for one or more areas of the business through analysis and understanding of business needs
  • Obtain and apply advanced knowledge of programs, policies, procedures in a business area or technical field
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and define requirements for complex business processes or projects
  • Create, review, update, or otherwise contribute to functional designs, leveraging advanced and / or specialized technical knowledge – may help design application prototypes
  • Conduct research, measurement, analysis, and apply critical thinking to contribute to development of requirements
  • Take a lead role with planning, consultation related to information gathering efforts, and acts as a liaison between the business, core team, technology
  • At times, serve as project lead on work efforts or early stages of project definition; Assist with ideation, project initiation, or planning for projects of high complexity
  • Represent an area externally in benchmarking and best practice efforts, providing business expertise across projects
  • Contributes to internal development and implementation of Center of Excellence (COE) best practices
  • Support test strategy plan development and participate in testing or case review, as needed

 
 
Qualifications:
  • Ability to integrate and work well within a globally distributed, diverse, cross-functional team and business
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work efforts with limited direction / guidance
  • Experience with technology projects, familiarity with Agile team environments / methodology / tools, and customer experience-focused design
  • Experience working with Call / Contact Centers
  • College degree or equivalent experience (insurance industry / business knowledge)
  • 3+ years working in insurance, project management, or technology preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced Skill / Knowledge in the following:
  • Application of analysis techniques to form observations that support requirements / recommendations
  • Business process discovery and diagramming / notation – Blueworks, Omnigraffle, or Visio
  • Crafting appropriate business communications; facilitation of meetings / conversations with varying audiences
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote
  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Pivotal Tracker, etc.)
  • Analysis-related certification or similar discipline (e.g. Six Sigma, Business Process Management, etc.) is a “plus”
  • Occasional travel may be needed
