Duration: 12 month contract
Location: Oak Brook, IL
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Change Management Consultant for one of our clients in the Oak Brook area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • The Change Management Specialists primary responsibility is to execute all change management related activities that result from the current initiative
  • As such, change management guidance, processes, and tools are necessary to achieve the desired results, through smooth transition and implementation(s)
  • The Change Management Specialist needs an understanding of the vision and objectives and needs to have the capability to assist in the assessment of the organizations ability and readiness to adapt to planned changes, to develop plan(s) to achieve the change objectives, and to put into place the appropriate mechanisms to monitor the change(s)
  • This role requires that the individual have the ability to assist with stakeholder assessments and risk assessments
  • In addition, the individual must have experience in defining and executing change management plans, with leadership teams as well as broader stakeholder groups
  • The individual will be responsible for defining a detailed change management strategy and plan to support
  • In addition, the individual will be required to conduct on-going monitoring of change readiness and acceptance as well as reassessment of change impact and lessons learned to refine on-going projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • The Change Management Specialist will be expected to collaborate with theChange Management Lead to ensure effective communication to all stakeholders

 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Change Management Methodology and Approach:
  • Develop change management strategy, process and approach
  • Create/leverage existing change management tools and templates
  • Define standard set of change management metrics and measurement vehicles

 
Assess organizational ability to change (by initiative):
  • Identify and manage key stakeholders and audience segments
  • Evaluate organizational readiness and highlight opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare plan for addressing and monitoring organizational readiness
  • Update assessment accordingly as critical milestones are reached

 
 
Lead Change (by initiative):
  • Understand business objectives and related strategy, and define a change management process to support the initiatives
  • Set and communicate a clear change management vision, key actions, performance metrics and results
  • Engage leaders to provide resources, remove obstacles, and take accountability for success
  • Involve and inform all relevant stakeholders to obtain ownership and support
  • Monitor progress by establishing accountability for results and tracking interim measures and milestones
  • Collaborate with the Communication and Change Management Lead to:
  • Develop project branding, messaging, themes, and story
  • Create program introduction documents
  • Identify audience(s) for communication
  • Evaluate communication vehicles available to reach audience and stakeholder segments

 
Change Management Execution:
  • Ability to help launch smoothly to a new mode of operations, expected behaviors and culture
  • Effectively communicate and enable change in order to help those affected feel positive about and comfortable with the change
  • Demonstrate the collaboration skills necessary to develop an integrated change management plan and the communication skills necessary to influence the organization to embrace the proposed changes and ensure sustainability
  • Utilize the appropriate methodologies, tools and change management techniques to increase effectiveness of communication and speed to resolution of identified issues or mitigate potential risks
  • Ability to observe and evaluate organizational and stakeholder readiness for change and determine appropriate mechanisms required to achieve change
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends within the Change Management and Communication discipline and share the gained knowledge for the benefit of others within the organization

 
Communication:
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels in the organization and to transfer knowledge amongst teams
  • Ability to interact with variety of stakeholders via various communication mediums (written and/or verbal), and will be expected to communicate effectively through all mediums

 
Teamwork:
  • Enable others to work effectively together toward a common goal
  • Understand how to leverage individuals talents to create deliverables and to contribute to the achievement of communication goals
  • Must be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders; get first-hand stakeholder information and use it for improvements in change management and communication services; talk and act with stakeholders in mind; establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and gain their trust and respect

 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Social Science, Behavioral Science, Organization Development, Change Management, Information Management, or Business is required and an advanced degree is preferred

 
The following certifications are desired:
Certification or Certificate in areas of
  • Change Management, Social Science, Behavioral Science, or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Communications and Change Management strongly desired
  • Previous experience in managing complex change programs related programs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage change management programs - preferably related to transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to thoroughly analyze data and influence leadership to make decisions and take actions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels within Global PMO, Marketing, Digital and IT organization and build a strong working relationship
  • Demonstrated experience in improving business performance and maintaining sustainability preferred
  • Must have good oral, written, listening and comprehension skills
  • Willingness and ability to work within a group and/or team
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done through both formal and informal channels; and, to resolve conflicts quickly and settle disputes equitably
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
