Claims Specialist
 
Duration: 4-month contract
Location: Overland Park, KS
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Claims Specialist for one of our clients in the Overland Park area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • Incoming emails and faxes - these are dumped into a queue that has to be manually worked in order to get the documents tagged with the correct policy number and indexed as the correct policy type. There are many faxes/emails that are not flood related and we have to reach out to the sender to advise
  • Notice of Loss Queue - NOLs that come in via fax/email
  • Prior Losses - requests for priors from adjusting firms
  • FEMA Prior Requests
  • Stop/Pay Requests
  • Rush requests
  • Outgoing mail/return mail/claims department mail
  • Scanning
  • Uploading documents to Nautilus
  • Check handling and copying; matching letters and checks
  • Pulling internal handle checks/overpayments
  • Loss Runs
  • Sending estimates to policyholders/agents/mortgage companies
  • NY Rising file requests/Disaster agency requests
  • Keyword Fix/Staff Emails
  • Correspondence Queue - we get many documents in this queue that are not related to a current claim, documents uploaded incorrectly from the scanning/indexing team, claims critical emails, etc.
  • Expert assignments, updating expert contact lists, SALAEs
  • Pilot tracker spreadsheets - they compile the list of new claims daily for each examiner, assign claims in CXC and complete the Assignments in Nautilus
  • RAP Requests (Examiner) - every document submitted by the policyholder has to be reviewed and addressed by an examiner even though it may not result in an open RAP that is tracked in ClaimsX, so the number of open claims and open raps does not necessarily reflect the number of claims the examiners are handling
