Consultant Local Markets-Network Sales
Duration: 9 month contract
Location: Annapolis, MD
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Consultant Local Markets-Network Sales for one of our clients in the Annapolis area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • This Contractor role on the Field Solutions Team has an overall focus on engaging and enabling merchants that do not currently accept Network Cards
  • The role visits local merchants increasing merchant stated acceptance, and works with operations to remediate and convert small merchants to accept our client’s Card
  • This position will have core responsibilities and coverage for Annapolis, MD area and may have additional coverage in other markets in area, as needed
  • This position must be located in the Annapolis, MD area

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Merchant site visits addressing Card awareness, signage placement and terminal testing
  • Merchant conversions of small merchants within a given territory, transition medium/large merchants to the conversion team
  • Maintain and build relationships with key clients externally by calling and making periodic visits as well as exploring specific hurdles
  • Take on special projects as assigned
  • Majority of time outside base city and will fall back to base city as needed
  • Up to 50%+ travel outside of Annapolis, MD (Will vary based business needs)

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of client facing and/or B2B experience
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
  • Ability to develop a market penetration plan where no plans exist
  • Able to deploy limited resources in an effective and efficient manner to execute a market plan
  • Highly agile in terms of accepting different assignment in different territories with unique problems and opportunities
  • Strong ability to problem solve against new or different problems/opportunities – exceptional creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrated follow-through
  • Established knowledge of the Merchants & Payments Industry
  • Excellent client focus and relationship-building skills, ability to frame proposals with client motivations in mind
  • Strong presentation and communication skills including ability to influence others, comfortable presenting to clients
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
