Position: Computer Operator / Customer Service
Location: Wood Dale, IL 60191 (LOCALS ONLY)
Shift:
2 positions - 7 days on 7 days off 10am-10pm or 9am-9pm shift.
1 position would be M-F 10am-7pm shift.
Duration: 12 months
This is a GREAT opportunity to build your skills and computer SAAVY. I am looking for a Customer Experience / Customer Service Representative with exceptional communication skills to join a team that provides technical support for the field representatives and clients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, troubleshooting skills and be open to learning computer / operations / technical / computer support.
  • Main duties include nightly data processing and testing for Video Central Communications system services in order to provide information and operational support to the video system
  • In addition, the candidate will also support the field service operations team
  • 24/7 system monitoring of the Video CCS (central communication system) in accordance with the hours of operation
  • Provides ongoing system integrity monitoring
  • Initiates batch processing
  • Generates system reports
  • Performs system backups
  • Performs various data entry routines such as updating turnover log with any unusual system occurrences
  • Preparation and testing of vendor software - images, definitions. etc
  • Preparation and testing of host and software
  • Coordinating, managing and doing project requests
  • Working with Vendors (Route Operators) 1-1 for problem solving on phone or in the lab
  • Troubleshoot communication problems
  • Acts as Customer Service Representative when needed
  • Supports hotline, network management, and service call dispatch functions
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:
  • Some Data Center / Computer Operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Excel a plus
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience with Unix, Win OS, SQL and Linux a plus
