Facilities Specialist
 
Duration: 4 month contract
Location: Chicago, IL
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Facilities Specialist for one of our clients in the Chicago area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • This position will be responsible for working with the Facilities Manager in managing a large facility or larger group of facilities, primarily reserved for the Corporate Headquarters and related facilities in excess of 200,000 SF, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards in areas of budget management & administration, physical facilities management and client relations
  • The position will provide facilities management support for a broad base of associates within a facility or group of facilities, generally greater than 700 total associates, including VP and Executive VP levels

 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of corporate activities associated with a facility or group of facilities, with the authority to make real estate decisions in the absence of the Facilities Manager
  • Manage vendors (landscaping, janitorial, security services, etc.) and maintenance staff as directed by Regional Manager and/or FM
  • Collaborate w/ the Regional Manager and/or Facilities Manager in the development & management of operating & capital budgets
  • Oversee project management requests under $50,000
  • Coordinate large Move, Add, Change Requests with clients and appropriate vendors
  • Ensure to the adherence of Company Risk Management Policies/Procedures
  • Provide routine property inspections/site audits directed by FM and/or RM
  • Develop/maintain positive relationships with internal/external customers and facilities staff
  • Oversee IKON On-site Facilities Services
  • Manage Security/Access Card Administration system
  • Generate Accruent Reports
  • Facilitate Optura invoice payment system
  • Generate Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders
  • Generate EOPs/Remedy-Request WBS #s
  • Generate Cost Center Closure Forms
  • Respond to afterhours facilities related emergencies and determine course of action to resolve issues
  • Generate and track Facilities Work Orders/Request Central tickets
  • Special projects as requested

 
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 5 + years related work experience in facilities management
  • Knowledge of basic business and accounting practices
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Detail oriented & analytical
  • PC proficiency specifically in Microsoft applications
  • Knowledgeable in software applications such as:  Optura, Accruent, & Remedy
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to travel
