Financial Analyst
Duration: 5 month contract
Location: Reston, VA
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Financial Analyst for one of our clients in the Reston area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Financial Analyst proactively coordinates the financial reporting needs of internal customers and provides quality support through analysis and reporting
  • This role is responsible for providing insightful process improvements ensuring optimized efficiency
  • Partners with key internal customers and cross functional teams to provide valuable financial analysis
  • Contributes to daily, monthly, and quarterly analysis, reporting, and presentations
  • Prepares analysis to support corporate projects and initiatives
  • Prepare supporting analysis for inquiries from cross functional teams
  • Provide timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate analysis and recommendations to key areas in the organization
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements in reporting and analysis
  • Work with professional service teams to accurate and timely reporting
  • Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal departments
  • Provide documentation for financial schedules
  • Build successful partnerships with key internal customers and cross functional teams
  • Prepare analysis to support projects and initiatives
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements in reporting and analysis
  • Generate and validate weekly and monthly reporting

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or IT 
  • 1 year of financial analysis experience OR 
  • 1 year of data analytics experience 
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and the ability to apply them
  • Demonstrated understanding of Professional Service terms 
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting deadlines while providing high quality work and working independently with little direction
  • Track record of identifying process improvements and making appropriate recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adaptability in shifting priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present data to all stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience 

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Federal Government Experience 
  • MBA or CPA
  • Working knowledge of SQL
