Java Developer
 
Duration: 3 month contract
Location: Riverwoods, IL
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Java Developer for one of our clients in the Riverwoods area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • Break down complex requirements into workable technical solutions to solve business problems
  • Build high quality software for large scale and highly available systems
  • Evaluate complex features and prepare application specifications
  • Actively contribute to the digital departments developer community to support technical initiatives and provide input into best practices
  • Demonstrate a high-level of initiative, ability to work independently and a willingness to grow in a challenging environment
  • Provide strong technical and team leadership
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes 

 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Hands-on experience with highly scalable and reliable web applications using Java
  • Major in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Familiar with Agile software development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of web services (SOAP / REST), relational databases and object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Pivotal Cloud Foundry and FreeMarker
  • Unix/Linux and Oracle (data access) experience in Java, J2EE, REST and Web Services, WebSphere, Apache, IDEs (including Eclipse or RAD or similar), XML, Oracle, JavaScript, Clearcase, Spring, Angular, HTML5, SpringBoot, Github
