Lead Java Development Engineer
Duration: 10-month contract
Location: Lisle, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for Lead Java Development Engineer for one of our clients in the Lisle area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Searching for a Lead Java Developer to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Java Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing innovative web and console applications
  • Will perform design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions
  • Mentorship
  • Produces technical documentation
  • Contributes to best practices and team processes
  • Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to our technologies and product in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Education requirement: At least a 4-year Technology Degree
  • Years of Experience: 8 – 10
  • Experience or willing to learn mobile DevOps, automated testing, and analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of application and data architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Works under minimal direction
  • Ability to quickly adapt
  • 4+ plus years of experience working on Agile projects a plus
  • Excellent communication skills mandatory
  • Technologies: Javascript, Java, REST, JSON, integration with third party libraries, SQL
  • Experience with at least one of the following databases: DB2 (v8.0 or greater), DB2 query, and DB2 Connect, Oracle, SQL Server, OODB, Experience building mobile apps for Android and iOS platforms a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills mandatory
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle stages, with project planning experience
  • Ability to understand and work within team dynamics
  • Self-starter, works well with others
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience managing an offshore team a plus
  • Required Technical Skills Java 1.6, Core Java, Java Programmer/Developer Certification Preferred
  • Understands product requirements and ensures the design satisfies the application
  • Manages all aspects of the design and development process from concept, development and release
  • This is for a front-end developer for a catalog application
  • Manages an iterative development lifecycle (development, debugging, testing, deployment) ,JAX-WS , Web Services, JSP, Java Servlet, Bootstrap, Hibernate CVS(Source code management) Design Patterns Java
