Data Analyst II
Duration: 5-month contract
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Data Analyst II for one of our clients in the Schaumburg area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Defines, designs, and builds relational and/or multi-dimensional databases for warehousing of data
  • Confers with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases
  • Reviews current data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted
  • Generates data acquisition and archive recovery strategies
  • Works with Database Administrators to migrate complex large-scale applications into test and production environments
  • Integrates new data with existing warehouse structure and continuously improves system functionality
  • Evaluates and recommends new tools and methodologies
  • Consults with vendors to integrate selected packages. Deletes old data
  • Develops and maintains all standards in accordance with data structures and models
  • May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts
  • Design (Modify existing Data Base) develop and implement stable, reliable and effective data solutions based on customer requirements, collaborating with off-shore developers and on-site architects
  • Prepare design specifications and other technical documentation for assigned database projects
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers
  • Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
  • Optimize and maintain existing database jobs and database systems
  • Collaborate with off-shore developers and on-site architects to improve applications and establish best practices
  • Provide data management support to users
  • Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
  • Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in software engineering or development
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a software development life cycle methodology (e.g. Agile)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit/Integration Test life cycle - phases
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills in a cross-functional team (ex. business, UX/UI, and full-stack developers) to create optimal solutions
