Network Operations Manager
Duration: 2 year contract
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Network Operations Manager for one of our clients in the Oak Brook area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviews operational procedures to assure maximum efficiency and quality across IT outsourcing providers, telco partners, and various other vendors
  • Resolves issues and contributes to the business unit/area development including working on difficult problems or situations as necessary
  • Hold monthly operational meetings with internal customers to ensure alignment around priorities and support
  • Maintains accurate records and prepares meaningful reports for both internal and external customers
  • Completes periodic reports and presentations indicating progress and health of the global network services
  • Ensure all standards such as, security, routing, QOS, and others are being adhered to and remediate as needed
  • Manages network monitoring tool set for efficient and purposeful alerting and reporting
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our global application support teams with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, and scalability
  • Introduce new technologies that help reduce cost while improving time to deliver
  • Deliver and support designs that meet business requirements and the needs of our financial application support teams
  • Participate in development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization
  • Manage and insure ITIL standards are being followed for all ITSM related processes (Change, Incident, Major-incident, Problem, Capacity, Asset, and Infrastructure Lifecycle Management)
  • Multi-task multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressured environment
  • 24x7x365 Global operations, must be willing to be available for out of hours work

  • ITIL Foundation Certified1-2 years working with AWS and/or Azure networks
  • Managing resources and services through an IT outsourcer (ITO) / Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, .1q VLANs, QinQ)
