Oracle Middleware Administrator
 
Duration: 8 month contract
Location: Chicago, IL
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Oracle Middleware Administrator for one of our clients in the Chicago area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • The Oracle Middleware Administrator will be responsible for overall design, development, and production support of all the integration components using Fusion Middleware technology and solution
  • The person will be responsible for performance, testing, execution and tuning of Fusion Middleware products, including WebLogic and SOA
  • Familiarity with XML Security Gateways (e.g. IBM DataPower) and Apache is also necessary

 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creation of scripts to manage and monitor all Oracle Fusion Middleware components
  • Design, build and support Middleware products on multi-node clustered / HA environments
  • Troubleshooting deployment issues in a clustered environment
  • Working with Developers and cross functional IT teams to validate and drive architecture around middleware platform

 
 
Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Administration and Configuration of multiple clustered WebLogic domains
  • Experience in JVM tuning
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Oracle JMS queues
  • Proven track record documenting processes and systems architecture
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

 
Required Skills:
  • Experience in Configuring, Monitoring and Tuning WebLogic domains in HA / clustered environments
  • Proficient in UNIX and Shell scripting
  • Very good understanding of the Java development environment
  • Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and ability to solve problems quickly in a high pressure environment
  • Must have excellent decision making skills, especially when imperfect information is available
  • Must foster an environment of learning, progression and accountability
  • Ability to function as an effective team member
