Project Analyst
Duration: 9 month contract
Location: Chicago, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Project Analyst for one of our clients in the Chicago area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meet periodically with Project Manager to align on project related priorities
  • Assist Project Manager(s) in maintaining the project budget, including the tracking and reconciliation of actual vs. estimates for reporting purposes, on a monthly basis
  • Validate accuracy of actual time entry reporting against forecasted project hours and resolve variances
  • Support project resource planning activities and follow up with Functional Managers as required regarding staffing needs and concerns
  • Support project estimation process by gathering various resource and cost estimates from Functional Mangers
  • Assist Project Manager in scheduling and logistics for team meetings, including recording and distribution of meeting minutes
  • When appropriate, update and maintain project delivery work plan information
  • Gather project work plan status from assigned project resources
  • Track, follow-up, and report on current/past due tasks from action items, risk and issue log, and project work plan
  • Where appropriate, lead various project related meetings to obtain project status, estimate, and or schedule related information
  • Follow up on issues and facilitate resolution when needed
  • Monitor and maintain project action item, issue, risk, and decision logs
  • Assist in the creation of Project Change Controls (Lead and facilitate discussion)
  • Updating and version control of Project Documentation

For small initiatives, assume project lead responsibilities that include:
  • Creation of Status Reporting and facilitation of status meetings
  • Creation and management of delivery work plan
  • Creation and management of approved budget
  • Identification and resolution of project action items, risks, and issues
