Project Manager (Environmental Permitting)
Duration: 12 month contract
Location: Baltimore, MD
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Project Manager (Environmental Permitting) for one of our clients in the Baltimore area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Responsible for the coordinator and completion of projects
  • Oversees all aspects of projects
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project
  • May require a bachelor’s degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Familiar with variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
  • Contact environmental regulators to support environmental permitting project required to complete capital project permitting in a timely fashion
  • Knowledgeable of Maryland environmental regulations pertaining to environmental permitting
  • Works well with employees and regulators to complete permitting tasks
  • Is well organized and competent with Microsoft Office software

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical science or equivalent formal education and field experience, and minimum of 5 years of job-related experience in permitting activities
  • Advanced knowledge of environment regulations and environmental permitting, preferred Maryland regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • A valid driver’s license
