Project Manager
Duration: 9 month contract
Location: Oswego, NY
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Project Manager for one of our clients in the Oswego area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • The Project Manager is responsible for the overall project cost, schedule and quality
  • The Project Manager is supported with resources (team members) from other functional areas, but he does not directly manage those resources
  • A Project Manager may oversee multiple projects or one larger project
  • A PM typically takes projects from concept through final implementation; interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors; ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Assigns individual responsibilities
  • Identifies appropriate resources needed
  • Develops schedule to ensure timely completion of the project
  • Communicates with a Senior Project Manager, Functional Area Manager, or Senior leadership regarding status of specific projects
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of assigned projects requiring the integration of multiple functional organizations, within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives
  • Oversees all aspects of projects, provides leadership for project team members and works within the framework of established Project Management process and procedures
  • A Project Manager may oversee high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration
  • In addition to duties of a Project Manager, may communicate with a company executive regarding the status of specific projects
  • Sets deadlines, assembles project teams, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Provides leadership for project team members and the Project Management process
  • Leads with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department requiring the integration of multiple functional organizations
  • May also supervise other Project Managers; must follow and adhere to Project Management Process and Requirements


Preferred Candidate Experience:
  • Nuclear Generation Facility project experience as a Project Manager in role as described above
  • This is not an installation/construction manager role.
  • Projects on plant systems with major Electrical and/or Mechanical scope
  • Experience in one or more of the following project scopes: power transformer replacements, large motor replacements inside primary containment, large motor-generator units; large valve replacements; reactor safety relief valve upgrade/replacements; instrumentation inverter replacements; turbine ehc pumps and valving installation; Plant Process Computer Replacement and Cyber Security
