Sr. Manager, Product Owner
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Riverwoods, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Owner for one of our clients in the Riverwoods area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Third Party Portal position is responsible for supporting the strategic development of an application that manages our client’s 3rd Party vetting process
  • The job requires a process-focused individual with cross-functional application knowledge and proven experience driving results in both a traditional waterfall and agile environment
  • This role is responsible for supporting more than one team within the organization and ensuring the pipeline (backlog) stays full and is prioritized
  • An ideal candidate will have experience writing user stories that align to the product features

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct user feedback sessions and gather feedback from stakeholders on an ongoing basis to clearly understand their needs and pain points
  • Develop user stories (requirements) and actionable acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Continuously manage and prioritize the sprint backlogs with team input prior to and during the backlog grooming sessions
  • Make critical decisions regarding user interface, functionality and priority in the sprint
  • Sign off to accept each user story during sprints
  • Vet out potential solutions and collaborate with design and development to rapidly conceptualize, prototype and validate new product ideas and innovations
  • Create a process to ingest and respond to feedback on process opportunities
  • Design an efficient mechanism to track requests and understand status on response
  • Provide periodic status updates to business stakeholders and upper management
  • Drive the development of test cases and work closely with stakeholders and the test team to implement testing
  • Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and practices

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 4 years of related experience with technology interface and agile experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated ability to lead teams independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Takes initiative to coach and share knowledge to develop others
  • Experience in providing oversight of identification and resolution of an issue
  • Demonstrated skills in leading a group towards meeting a common project milestone/goal
  • Ability to identify auditable processes and ensure comprehensive process documentation is current and compliant
  • Compiles data, identifies meaningful metrics, illustrates trends and proactively communicates results
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
