Student Account Rep
Duration: 4-month contract
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Student Account Rep for one of our clients in the Schaumburg area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • Address and pursue collection of past due accounts and delinquent balances through direct contact with students by letter, telephone, email and skip tracing
  • Negotiate with students in establishing payment plans to bring accounts current
  • Responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence including but not limited to incoming student letters, emails, phone inquiries, bankruptcies, outgoing statements, invoices and dunning letters
  • Manage all activities
  • Coordinate live contact campaigns to ensure consistent communication with out of school students
  • Manage student portfolio to ensure compliance with department policy and procedure
  • Work with all necessary departments to minimize bad debt by utilizing information on the AMD earned A/R and other reports

  • Associates degree is desired Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to write narrative reports Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel 1-3 years’ experience in collections for service industry
  • Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast paced, time sensitive business operations
  • Knowledge of internal control concepts and principles Knowledge of financial aid process or experience High ethical standards
  • Fast paced, with significant people interaction
  • No lifting over 20 pounds, minimal reaching, bending and stooping
  • Normal office environment
