Tableau Developer
 
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: New Albany, OH
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Tableau Developer for one of our clients in the New Albany area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Job Description:
  • Position involves automating Vendor files, creating new ETL process, extracting data from Access, Teradata, SQL Server, generating Reporting Dashboards and Data feeds
  • Will work directly with Business Partner from the Collections Unit in Riverwoods and Recovery Unit in New Albany, OH
  • No traveling required, No Remote/work from home options
  • Works on highly complex in area of specialty
  • Highly skilled with extensive proficiency in area of specialty
  • Assignments are quite varied and highly complex with few standard procedures
  • Latitude for independent judgment and decision making within defined guidelines
  • Gathers information, consults those who need to be involved, and puts decisions into action
  • Considers the implications of options when making a difficult decision
  • Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Participates in determining objectives of assignment
  • Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting

 
 
Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Build Tableau solutions from the ground up that are visually stunning, scalable, and very fast
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and the ability to build and analyze datasets is critical
  • Ability to understand the architecture and to present and defend an architectural design in Tableau
  • Follow best practices regarding organizing folders, lay out security groups, and design scalable reporting solutions
  • Develop cutting edge reports, adheres to Tableau best practices, and act as a supporting resource for other developers
  • Develop and provide documentation, training, and support
  • Participate in meetings to understand project definitions and offer design reviews
  • Evaluate the needs and requirement of the users and provides technical expertise in the development of technical, structural and organizational specifications related to Tableau report
  • 3+ years of experience with Tableau and the ability to teach other Tableau developers is essential
  • Strong experience working with relational databases
  • SQL experience, including the ability to troubleshoot queries and tune queries for performance
  • Design, develop, and implement visualizations for our business teams following effective design principles to support ongoing business analysis and operations
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, test, and deployment of new BI solutions
  • Provide production support for new and existing BI solutions; resolve issues with reports and data as identified by users
  • Tableau Developer = Tableau, Microsoft Access, SQL, Unix, Visual Basic
  • Experience in working with Big Data Teradata and/or Hadoop
