Undergraduate Student Worker (Non-IT)
Duration: 3 month contract
Location: Chicago, IL
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Undergraduate Student Worker (Non-IT) for one of our clients in the Chicago area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
Job Description:
  • The role includes conducting technology-focused Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing, as well as contributing towards assessments in areas such as cyber security, digital solutions, and privacy
  • The intern will have opportunities to participate in meetings with leadership, take part in our global conference, and attend team-building activities
  • Conduct interviews and perform testing of IT controls as part of assessments in areas such as IT general controls, privacy, and customer data protection
  • Participate in meetings with IT and digital leadership on topics including technology and digital strategies, privacy and related regulations, customer loyalty program, and cyber security
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging technology topics including cyber security, information security, privacy compliance, and data governance
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify and measure key risks throughout the organization
  • Assist in issuing security questionnaires to third parties and/or assessing questionnaire responses to make risk determinations
  • Communicate progress of tasks to IT Audit Director/Manager on a timely basis
  • Manage time effectively and ask appropriate questions to ensure that tasks are completed appropriately and in a timely manner

  • Junior/Rising senior status (or greater) pursuing Bachelor's degree (or Graduate degree) in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Relevant experience with information technology and digital topics based on classroom, extracurricular, or work experience
  • Basic knowledge across IT processes preferred, including but not limited to: security operations, program management, security administration, system operations, change management, modern development (e.g, DevOps, Agile), data governance, privacy, and incident/problem management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a tendency to lead by example, build relationship, and collaborate on teams
