Vendor Exception Analyst
 
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
 
Overview: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Vendor Exception Analyst for one of our clients in the Vernon Hills area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Vendor Exception Analyst is responsible for partnering with suppliers and Sales to assist end users in the physical and virtual product returns from drop shipped orders
  • Partner with suppliers to manage returns for all returned product, including defective, open box, damaged and virtual products
  • View daily router to assist in reduction of holding amounts
  • Assist Sales team with processes and supplier return policies
  • Follow up with Sales on necessary paperwork required to complete requests
  • Regularly follow up with vendors for all pending return authorizations to ensure they are processed in a timely manner
  • Escalate to management unresolved returns, as well as returns that exceed specified values and timeframes
  • Build and improve relationships with vendor partners in order to maintain awareness of all returns processes and expectations
  • Appropriately prioritize the processing and follow actions for pending return authorizations
  • Research and compare credits issued by vendors to match purchase cost for validation

 
 
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Entry level - 2 years related experience
  • Previous experience working in a corporate office environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and be flexible in shifting priorities in a changing environment
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., use of mouse, keyboard, e-mail)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications preferred
